The Clinical Medical Assistant program is designed to prepare students for entry-level
positions as medical assistants or related positions in the medical field. Job duties may
include such tasks as medical records, medical biller/coder, medical customer service
representative, insurance verification, medical receptionist, medical front desk,
caregiver, in-home care specials, or admittance clerk in a medical office, an insurance
office, hospital or clinic, or other related workplace settings. The courses include training
in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, insurance claims and collections,
medical safety procedures, medical lab procedures, medical law and ethics, and career
preparation.
