The Surgeon General’s 2024 Report stated that families and caregivers are in a loneliness epidemic. The recommendation is a reduction in stress and providing mental health support to support adults that care for children. Research has shown that joy can contend with this epidemic of stress and loneliness. Caregivers need to find ways to incorporate joy in your workplace. Participants will gain an understanding of strategies to help them bring more joy into the workplace, as well as their lives. This workshop will empower participants to spread joy collectively during tumultuous times.
Objectives:
- Examine and reflect on the 2024 Surgeon General’s Report describing the loneliness epidemic for families and caregivers.
- Understand how joy can combat loneliness and ways to incorporate more joy into your daily life.
