The CNA program is a comprehensive course designed to provide students with theory and fundamental skills to provide the basic care skills essential in caring for patients in long-term care, hospitals, home care, hospice, and more. Courses included are communication, interpersonal skills, documentation, infection control, safety and BLS CPR, patient’s rights, recognizing and reporting abuse, nursing skills, vital signs, body structure, and function, which are only a few topics to mention. Students can combine classroom learning, laboratory practice, and supervised hands-on clinical training in a long-term care facility. After completing and passing all the CNA program requirements, graduates can sit for the state exam for certified nursing assistants.
