This program is made up of 125 total hours over the course of 5 weeks (Monday to Friday).
All our organs are vital parts of daily life and proper functioning to live. One of these vital organs is the kidney, which takes on various roles and functions to keep us healthy. Kidneys are responsible for making sure wastes and toxins are excreted from our blood to keep our bodies in balance. When this organ isn’t properly working, it is known as kidney failure which can lead to varying damages. Dialysis is a process used to remove waste and excess water from the blood to artificially replace the function of a failing kidney.
A Dialysis Technician is certified to perform this dialysis treatment under proper supervision. Technicians can take vital signs, prep equipment as well as known their maintenance, assess patients for complications undergoing the procedure among various other important tasks. This course prepares students to take on these roles in real life settings to ensure safe and proper environments.
