The Certified Nurse Aide course prepare students for employment in a variety of settings, including nursing homes, schools and hospitals. The course covers the fundamental nursing skills such as communication and infection control, patient rights and emergency procedures. The student receives 95 hours of classroom instruction with 30 hours of clinical experience at a nursing home. In addition to learning the fundamental care skills necessary to work in any healthcare setting, students also gain hands-on experience working one-on-one with patients.
