We offer Fire Guard Preparation courses. This course is NOT mandatory to become a NYS security guard.
Fireguard training is not required by NYS General Business Law to obtain a NYS security guard license. It is also important to note that there is a difference between a security guard and a fireguard. In NYC, individuals must have a Certificate of Fitness issued by the NYC Fire Department to obtain employment as fireguards.
You must be aware that you are not employable as a fireguard by completing this course. You must first pay $25 to take and pass the NYC Fire Department Certificate of Fitness examination in Brooklyn NY.
