All students are required to provide a valid, color government issued photo identification document such as a State issued driver license, non-driver license or a passport at the beginning of a class. This process allows the instructor to verify the identity of the person online during the classroom session. A copy of the student’s ID must be emailed to securityacademyny@gmail.com 48hrs prior to the start of the class or text to 516 444 9686. Devices allowed will be desktop or laptop only, with camera. Other devices will be allowed for 8hr annual only.
SANY will take attendance at the beginning of a class, during the class, when students return from breaks and at the end of session. Attendance must be taken by confirming that the student is online and his/her camera is active. Student cameras must remain active the entire time that the class is in session.
Students may turn off cameras during a break until the class resumes. Any student who leaves the camera view at any time will be marked absent.
No one will be allowed to leave the camera view once testing has started. SANY will retain all the attendance records. Certification for successful completion by students will be submitted via email within 24 hours or mailed out by the end of the next business day by SANY.This online platform will have the ability for group chat during the online session. All classes will be recorded and saved for verification by DCJS and any other authority.
Fraudulent activity will not only void your payment and issuance of certification, it will also put you at risk of retaking the course in the future.
